Marsha Deans Edgar has been an artist most of her life. Her artistic gifts were recognized and encouraged by family and teachers. At an early age she began taking lessons, followed by four years at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She continues her research and learning by attending major shows and galleries.
Marsha is one of the founding members of Kindred Spirits Artisans of Paris. Marsha her husband and two daughters live on a farm near Paris, Ontario, Canada, not far from where she grew up. Her rural upbringing, present location and young family provide inspiration for the subject matter of many of her paintings.
She was awarded the International Plein Air Painters Award for excellence in watercolour, Niagara Falls, Ontario in September of 2005.
Edgar Farm Studio & Gallery
A warm welcome awaits you in this newly renovated 4,000-square-foot barn, now a studio and gallery, on John and Marsha Edgar’s century farm. The barn was built in 1916 by John’s great-grandfather, Allen Edgar.
The barn stands as a tribute and memorial to the generations of dedicated, hardworking farmers–ancestors of Marsha Deans and John Edgar.
